Washi paper painted with chestnut and walnut tannin pigment by Utsuki Nakano <　　Fairy Tale of Chestnut and Walnut Tannin Pigment　　> When you feel the wind chilly in the morning and evening on one autumnal day, nuts in the wood ripe and fall on the ground making a sound like marimba. Squirrels are busy in chasing around the aging trees to be well prepared for winter. Tannin pigment of chestnut and walnut come into life from such blessing of the wood. Pale pink is the color of inner skin of chestnuts. Champagne gold and sepia are from the green walnuts.
